1. I think, I'm not sure, but I think that for national flights only you didn't need a passport in the good old days anyway. Passports are for crossing borders. How they got the knife, whip and weather vane I'm clueless about, but the security was way more relaxed back then, before 9/11 and all that. Still believe they would have been stopped though. A knife and a whip I could have believed they could be "hidden", and smuggled aboard, but the weather vane isn't exactly discreet.

3. As far as I understood Zemial is just a name the channeler is using. She's a fraud basically, but gets possessed by the devil during the session. A while back now since I saw the movie, but when she is talking about Zemial she is using her own voice, so its her that is making it up. The name isn't used anymore after she is possessed.
Some might find me morally challenged or morally ambigious. I prefer morally creative.
Just to comment nr. 3: Probably demon. Sounds like demonname. For example, in old religious books(not just bible, all of them) there is various demons and they're all ranked by how many legions they command. Here's a page which introduces bunch of them:
Ps. People should learn also that Beelsebub, Satanachia(Satan) and Lucifer are not the same dude. They're different demons with different powers and different rank.
