Wasn't that little brother disturbing?

I just watched this today after not having seen it for years. I remember it was one of my fave movies as a teen girl, but even then, I thought that Richie the little brother was just 'too much.' I still think it's true today.

Frankly, I thought he was strange and disgusting, and not in that typical little brother way you might be used to seeing.

I think it might be the actor who played him. I saw this boy in one other movie, and he played that character the same way. I found it disturbing that a young teen boy could come across so leering and sleazy.

Does anyone agree?

I still love this movie though!!!

Yeah I was thinking the same thing, especially when he was making that pizza in that scene when Louise came home from the dance and he was touching the pizza in a gross way. 

I know right, like he was jamming his fingers into the dough. 

I actually thought it was a female at first, then kept thinking it throughout the movie. This is on top of the creepy that he/she was already! *shivers*

I had just seen Deadfall a week ago, and he totally makes me think of Nicolas Cage in that movie. Not a good thing.

Deerock, pardon me if I misunderstand you, but are you saying his "creepy, leery, disgusting" etc behaviour from his early movies denoted him as gay from a young age? (Strange way to attack "republicans"!)

I don't think he was particularly effeminate, he just has an extremely slappable face and his bad acting gives his performance a slightly off-kilter air, like he's acting in a different movie to everyone else.

He's actually my favorite part of the movie!
