Wasn't that little brother disturbing?

I just watched this today after not having seen it for years. I remember it was one of my fave movies as a teen girl, but even then, I thought that Richie the little brother was just 'too much.' I still think it's true today.

Frankly, I thought he was strange and disgusting, and not in that typical little brother way you might be used to seeing.

I think it might be the actor who played him. I saw this boy in one other movie, and he played that character the same way. I found it disturbing that a young teen boy could come across so leering and sleazy.

Does anyone agree?

I still love this movie though!!!

I total agree with you...it was something seriously twisted with that dude! XP

This kid still freaks me out...I think it has something to do with his nose...Maybe it has to do with his face in general ...

i was watching it this morning and i was thinking the same thing, especially when he brings louise her breakfast in bed. and why would he have that outfit? lol

everybody here, comes from somewhere

I just saw him on Highway to heaven ...I was like I seen this freaky kid some where ...He allways has his tounge out..the kid is just nasty..

reply

I agree!
I think it is a combination of his face and voice.

I LOVE him! I love this film because of him! Well, not all because of him, but he's the best thing. And he was wearing a suit to bring her breakfast because he was under her spell. He even ironed her homework.

I turned to look but it was gone...

he is gross. to the extreme in "teen witch" kind of disgusting in "death warrant" too.
creepy guy.

Never liked that kid! His voice, his face.. everything is off.

Reminds me of a young Christopher Mintz-Plasse...

I can't stand him! As the brother or as an actor. My brothers are so sweet! I can't imagine having a sibling like that.

Yes, something was wrong with the writers when they wrote his lines for the movie

Lol I loved him, thought he was so hilarious and the way he delivered his lines, very funny.

"Screws fall out all the time, the world is an imperfect place."

Always thought he was pretty creepy and a terrible actor.

reply

^^^^^ TOTALLY AGREE.

As a kid, I would have agreed with the OP 100%. She hit the nail on the head with everything, but... as an adult I find him hilarious. The fact that he's so creepy, weird, and over the top is why he's great. I'm into more abstract and dark humor these days. Today, when I watch it, it just seems like he's gay. (Oops if I'm wrong. Apologies to the actor, if you were in fact simply really creepy.)

reply

He actually is gay in real life, from what I have heard. (This should show you "republicans" out there that you are born that way, it is not learned behavior.) I agree, he was always odd in the movies he was in back in those days. Get this: I've heard his mother was a Playboy Playmate back in the 60s.
