Has anyone else heard about plans for the sequel? It's called Society 2: Body Modification.
It is not yet clear whether Yuzna will direct but that's all I know for now. Check it out at:

I don't know whethere to be excited: I thought the sublime original was a one film and best left to stand alone.

I've read the script for the sequel, it's pretty damn good and would have it's good share of gore. I really hope this gets done.

I agree on more people should see it. To help with the cause I've started handing my VHS copy around my college- it's doing the rounds.

Bring the sequel already, who cares if it's a cult film? It's barely got cult status right now considering the only people I know who have seen it saw it because I made them watch it. I'll take a cool horror movie sequel anyday over another Spider Man movie.

Re-animator 2 and 3 blew. The same could be said for any yuzna sequel. "The curse of Brian Yuzna" a friend called it. However, society was NOT an adaptation of a HP lovecraft story as most of his efforts that I have seen were. It could work.

I have trouble getting people to belive this film exists, let alone a sequel.

Society? Yeah, its on DVD... The sequel has kind of halted I think. There's no news on it lately on upcominghorrormovies.com.

I heard about the sequel and was eager to see it. I like Brian Yunza alot although he is sort of a hit or miss kind of guy. This film was incredibly freaky though the humor in it did make it easier to watch. I hope they make a part 2. It would be awesome. I remeber just how freaked out I was when I looked at the back of the box. There really isn't another film like this out there.

The project is presumed to be dead, which doesn't surprise me since it seemed to come out of nowhere when it was first announced and not a lot of information came with it.
