This movie sounds like it sucks!
Way in the deepest corners of the IMDB, I find quite possibly the shittiest movie of all time. Terminator II, Advancement of the Suck Ass.

Well if is anything like "Alien 2 Sulla Tera" it will be "great".
shareChildren! Don't listen to these haters! The Italian knock-offs of American films are often brilliantly weird and really fun. It's like a game of "telephone" played with the concepts from your favorite films. By the time Bruno Mattei heard what "Aliens" was about, it was all garbled and all he seems to have gotten from it is something about "people running down hallways in plastic armor."
Cheap films are like cheap wine - always go Italian
Ross Perot *MUST* have been thinking of SHOCKING DARK when he described that "Giant Sucking Sound" during the NAFTA debates of 1993 or so. My take on it has softened somewhat since I posted my review of it here but the advice is still the same: Watch it once & suffer with the sound on so that you can look people right in the eye and say "Yes, I've seen SHOCKING DARK" and not be lying. It is a disorienting experience almost on the level of ERASERHEAD as far as creating a sort of chemical imbalance in your skull which will cause hallucinations.
But if you find reason to ever watch it again do so with the sound off or at least some tunes playing really loudly. And drink beer. Then it is actually somewhat useful as a source of comedy, and reminds me of the story about DEATH RIDES A HORSE -- also posted at the IMDb somewhere -- from a guy who was stationed at some hell hole firebase in Vietnam where they would get 16mm prints of films to show guys back on leave. For some reason the supply division saw fit to keep sending them DEATH RIDES A HORSE (and you could do worse as far as movies go) so many times that the troops would turn off the sound and make up their own dialog as a way to make the time pass more enjoyably. SHOCKING DARK should be consumed in the same way.

Although the theft from Aliens and Terminator were audacious, the film is, in many respects, competently made. It is shot well. But what kills it is the line delivery! It's as if the lines are being spoken and directed by people who don't know English at all. Seriously some of the worst acting I have ever seen. Often, people can't make it through a single line without trailing off, stopping to remember the script. I think I saw more expression in the Thunderbirds puppets. The scrappy soldier chick at least had some character, but the others were mostly a chore to endure. It was funny, at least!
