favorite lines?

This movie had so many great lines!
Two of my favorites were when Frank's in the restaurant with the old lady, and she's like, "I should have told you how old I was" and then he goes, "No, no you look better than 3/4 of all the women I know half your age!"
And that other part where he gets really drunk and he runs to the bottom of the stairs and he's like, "F **kin' WOMEN!!!"

"Say hello to my little friend!"

Best lines are from the best ending in any film:

"I been on the wagon.. for e i g h t weeks now."
"you still drink coffee though?"
"like it's goin' outta STYLE!"

Cue Tom Waits...

"Come the wet ass hour, I'm everybody's daddy." (Pacino to Barkin)

reply

After the meet the yankees event they are leaving and another convict comes up with his son. Pacino flashes his badge, the convict starts walking away with son in tow, and Pacino says "Catch you later".

reply

In light of Pacino's earlier role as Michael Corleone, I thought it was funny when he asked the lieutenant "what's she going to do, shoot me? We're in a restaurant!" or something like that.

reply

Pacino: "We should've tailed him. We f ucked up."

Goodman, with that classic dour face: "*HE* f ucked up."

reply

Terry: who? who? what are you, a *beep* owl?

corny line, but Pacino repeats it in Heat when he busts the Hank Azaria character

...or maybe that's just the booze talking

reply

"he runs to the bottom of the stairs and he's like, "F **kin' WOMEN!!!"

I LOVE that, too !! It's so random and funny. Delivered perfectly, too. That is classic Pacino, to yell so passionately for no real reason. (And it was before he got into those angrier type roles where he yells a lot, so I think it is exempt from the oft-cited, "Patch yells too much nowadays.")

Sea of Love has so many great lines, and he is SOOOOO GOOD in this movie! Amazing performance, one of his best. I don't think I could pick a favorite, but I love the scene in the shoe store, that little speech about his being a cop, but also being mad at the world for it. That is fabulous writing and delivered so well. I love that scene near the end where he thinks she is there to kill him, and is baiting her to do it. That is so cool.

He rocks. It's just a great movie.

There's too many great lines and scenes in this movie...some aren't even lines but just facial reactions. I go back and rewatch it just for certain scenes. It's been a while so I don't remember the exact lines...but these are some my favs.

Scene at the shoe store afte his police speech, Ellen Barkin tells him not to lie to her again...she doesn't like it.

The scene where Pacino questiosn Barkin how can she do personal ads...he'd never do something like that....and she was like "why, you did it?" you forgot how we met" and he was like I was wearing a wire.... and she gets pissed. Great scene. It's like a romantic comedy scene "Boy loses girl" set in a murder mystery.

My personal favorite is probably the ending when Pacino is trying to get Barkin back and she says something like she's moving and Pacino was like that's great...I just got transferred over there and she turns her head breaking out laughing, showing that she can't stay mad at him.

I think this was the whole quote.

Det. Frank Keller: Last time, she walked. Maybe this time I can get prints.
Det. Sherman: Yeah right. What are ya gonna do, Frank? Send your dick to the lab? Man, that'll be a hell of a story in court. "Well, Your Honor, first I whipped it out, then she whipped it out, if you know what I mean."

There was a quote I can't quite remember. Frank said something about he had some respected for the suspected shooter because she finished the job as opposed to his ex-wife Denise who left him bleeding. Does anyone know that exact quote?
