Frank Keller Sr.'s Poem
Does anyone know the poem Frank's dad recites. The one his wife wrote to him and they use for the Ad?

I live alone within myself
like a hut within the woods.
I keep my heart high upon a shelf
barren of other goods.
I need another's arms to reach for it
and place it where it belongs.
I need another's touch and smile
to fill my hut with songs.
Like a HOUSE within the woods
To fill my HEART with songs
I thought!
"Whadda you want for that - a junior G-Man badge?"
I think you're right about "heart." But the first reference sure sounds like "hut" to me; and it makes more sense that it's a "hut within the woods" rather than a "house," which sounds blase.
Bit hard to tell with that voice!
"Whadda you want for that - a junior G-Man badge?"
One of our national treasures, the late William Hickey. Do you remember his bit in the Producers as the Drunk singing "By the light of the silvery moon" with Zero Mostel and Gene Wilder?
The guy SANG??!!
"Whadda you want for that - a junior G-Man badge?"
He sure did. If you watch The Producers, he's the drunk in the bar that Zero and Gene Wilder go to after they've seen the reaction to the first scene of Springtime for Hitler. They believe the show will flop, as their scheme requires, and so they go to the bar to get drunk and celebrate. While there, all three of them sing "By the light of the silvery moon." Off key and slurred. To be honest, I saw the film four or five times before I realized it was William Hickey. I'd only remembered him as the shrivelled-up, wheezing old man in Prizzi's Honor and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (as well as Sea of Love). Kind of scary to think he was young once.

In the closed captioning, it says "hut" both times. (Not "house", and not "heart".)

It is "hut". Hut is a metaphor for her body/heart/soul, whatever. But IT IS "HUT".
