Shit movie
Clichéd and tacky.
The bar was about as real as The Muppets.
Then maybe it wasn't made for you. Leave us alone who consider Road House to be a classic.

It’s no Oscar-winner but damn it’s good in a tacky kinda way. And bars can be tacky.
shareThere are some rough bars like this in the world. But yeah, this movie is not very good. But it's good for a few laughs. 'Pain don't hurt' is a pretty funny line. It's got a few others that are noteworthy but you're right, it's crap.
Shame really... because the cast is pretty good.
Most bars are rough in that the patrons don't take to non-locals. Cheers type bars are far less common. A girl I knew from college many years ago who was taking nursing in college used to joke how she was going to go from being the woman that guys fought over in such bars (yes, she was hot) to the nurse who was working the ER where the guys wound up after they bashed each other's heads in.
shareI personally love this movie, to each their own.
For me it's the silliness of it all that's very entertaining. It's the perfect example of a very bad very good movie, watch it with a sense of humor and it's great fun.
All of that is true, but itis a fun movie.
shareIt looked quite real except that there would not be as many hot women there if it were real.
