This is even gorier than the book...
The violence in the book is kept minimal, whereas with this film they amped the gore up to an unnecessary level. I feel I would have liked it more if it was more subtle.

shareThe book goes into great detail describing gore and violence - Gage getting destroyed by the truck and the condition of his body after, various information about morticians and dead bodies, Pascow's rotting body with his exposed brain, etc.
