The one thing that ruins this from being the best HORROR film I've ever

....seen. That retarded song at the end of the movie. They needed score not some pumped up jerk off Ramones song after seeing something so horrible. I love this movie. Its what horror isnt these days and thats unpleasant. Full of dread. But that song kills it.

No way. I loved the song at the end. It was like a little bonus. A great horror film then a kick ass Ramones song.

^ I like that way of looking at it.

I love that song and it fits the movie so well I think. It gave it this great 80s charm

I agree, I think the song fits well, like someone else said the Ramones are mentioned in the book several times "hey-ho, lets go!" Also the song itself has a dark and dreary sound to it just like the movie (and book) I think it's a pretty good song for the film.

"Plum near cut his head in two mmmmm hmmmm"

youre right-it was terrible because the truly horrific image of the woman swinging the knife is destroyed by blaring rock music. There should have been some moment-a pause of silence before any song. Similar to how American Werewolf ending is ruined by the Blue Moon song as soon as the wolf is killed and the nurse weeps. Giev us a moment to feel the horror!!!

its a pretty retarded post..the song is outstanding and fit like a glove...
so much better than the bulls!t false endings and crap you get today rolling through the credits...
I dont wanna live my life again!!!!! priceless RIP Joey

I can't say that I agree with this.

The Ramones were a part of the novel. Louis repeated "Hey Ho, Lets Go" from Blitzkrieg Bop any time his concious was trying to disuade him from carrying out Gage's excavation and re-burial at the Micmac burial ground.

Ramones doing the closing theme makes perfect sense.

Yeah I didn't like that either, thankfully I never remembered that until just now watching it as an adult. Was much scarier to have the memory without the song :P
