Super-Gage

How did toddler manage to bring a grown woman to the attic and hang her from it? He even managed to bust the wooden stair, that's some strong baby. Also the scene where his dad is wrestling him for the scalpel is hilarious, that kid had 10 pounds on him and managed to slash him 10 times, common! OK, perhaps he was possessed by an evil Indian spirit or Zelda or whatever but some laws of physics should still apply.

Yeah I'll admit that bugged me a bit too. I know we had to suspend disbelief a bit, but that was pushing it.

Whatever the entity living in gages body is isn't Indian, it is just evil from within the ground, I think the Indians stopped useing it as a buriel ground because something similar happened to them but it's been years since I read book.

The ground is sow-ah!!

As sour as a lemon lol

Well the kid was hit by a semi, sewn back together and embalmed but somehow has homeostasis and metabolic function. He can be rekilled through conventional means (morphine) even though he should have no blood or organs considering what he's been through. He walks around even though every bone in his body should have been crushed.

There is a hell of a lot of suspension of disbelief going on that ultimately makes no effing sense. (I still like the movie though even though it's hokey as hell at times.)

The part that actually made me giggle was when he FLEW down from the attic lmao it looked like a doll.

The only LOL moment in the movie imo, most of it was scary and well done but Gage diving out of the attic was way too funny. The build up to that scene was pretty intense though.

reply

Yup exactly hahaha.

That part always makes me laugh. And the line "Today is Thanksgiving day for cats, but only if they came back from the dead."

Well Gage was actually possessed by the Wendigo that soured the ground along time ago according to the book. Wendigos are cannibalistic Native American demon spirit tricksters who's touch can turn humans into cannibals and the Wendigo in the PS novel cursed the ground and turned any dead corpse into a demon and possess them.

Basically they are semi-deadites.
