"The remake which WILL be terrible (possibly with the actors you mentioned) will probably be PG13, which means no gore and no real horror.
Because that's the Hollywood way in the 21st century. Take an R-rated classic and remake it with a PG13 rating with annoying actors and horrible acting and no violence, no horror and no swearing. And zero respect for the original movies and their fans. They've already done it with three classics. 4 if you count Ghostbusters which I refuse to watch. And they still think it's a good idea. That and superhero-movies. Besides from an occasional R-rated actionmovie that's like a breath of fresh air. That's Hollywood today. A big damn joke!!"
Remakes have been going on since the 1920s/1930s - it's nothing new. Plus, the original "Pet Sematary" wasn't even a good movie to begin with, let alone as an adaptation of the original story. In terms of a movie being "bad" because it's "PG-13", that's an incredibly arrogant and naïve viewpoint to have -what should matter is the film's quality, not its rating. There are TONS of awful movies that are rated R, just as there are tons of awful movies that are rated PG-13. In terms of this upcoming remake, it should be made into a good movie first and foremost; whether it's R or not, just trivial bull$hit.
