Why did they make the little girl so whiney and annoying? Every word she spoke made me cringe. She was an awful actress too.

I laughed out loud when that tire swing broke and she landed on her ass.
And the scene where she shows Jud the picture of Gage is just done so badly, I cringe. After she "pretends" to be sad, she runs and throws herself on the couch. As Jud and Louis talk, we can here Ellie screaming and moaning in the other room--really doing it up big. She needed a good kick in the pants.
