Blatant Rip-Off By The BBC?

Did anyone catch the latest episodes of Doctor Who? Well the story "Fear Her" (10th episode out of 13 this year) had a very similar tale to "Paperhouse" about a girl drawing pictures and there was a nasty father too! But then I saw a bit of "The Exorcist" in that Doctor Who story as well.

Okay "Paperhouse" was based on the novel "Marianne Dreams" and there was also a 1972 TV adaptation called "Escape Into Night" which frightened my sister and me when we were small kiddies back then, much like Doctor Who used to too!

Anyway if "Paperhouse", "Escaper Into Night" and that "Doctor Who" story are all based on that novel, where does "PENNY CRAYON" fit in? LOL

Didn't like that Doctor Who episode. Nearly turned me off watching Paperhouse, which I had just found about 2 weeks before when searching for fantasy films. Glad it didn't, Paperhouse was scary as all heck.

"Marianne Dreams" is a rip off of Bugs Bunny and Road Runner! Remember they would paint a door and then open it.

I'm being facetious here. They all really ripped off Oscar Wilde's The Picture of Dorian Gray.

Well it wasn't the best Doctor Who story this season, but I did enjoy it myself and the little girl acted very well in that too!

Well yes that's very true and of course the creator of "Alien" said he got the idea from Doctor Who. So watch "The Ark in Space" and look for many simularities there too!
