Umm so why does freddy need to use alice's baby's dreams to kill her friends why can't he just go into their dreams like every other film ? :p now I haven't seen the movie in a wile so to all you trolls who are gunna call me dumb just shutup and don't bother commenting ahahaha

Getting called "dumb", "idiot", or a "moron" is just part of the IMDB scene, as well as people ignoring your post and pointing out a typo, or telling you, "Who cares it's just a movie!" just try to ignore it, people are more polite at Sitcoms Online, but there's not really good movie forums there.
Anyway about your question.
In ALL the movies *up until Freddy's Dead* Freddy was limited to whose dreams he could get into, except part 2, but the rules were really different in that one, the rule didn't really get established until part 3.
But in parts 1 and 3 Freddy would only get into the dreams of the children of the parents who killed him... the Elm Street Children.
Kristen had a gift to link up with other people in their dreams and to link up other people, When Freddy killed Kristen she passed that gift to Alice, so Freddy had to use Alice to link him into the dreams of non-Elm Street children.
Alice somewhat got it under controll, BUT since Jacob was her son, he also had the gift, and since a fetus's dreams are so willy-nilly, and out of control and they spend most of their time in a dream state, Freddy was able to link into other people's dreams through HIM.
I honestly thought it was a good story line.
NOW in part 6 Freddy's Dead, Freddy needs NO ONE to link him into other people's dreams and he can get into ANYONE'S dreams. I have no idea why. Unless he's collected so many souls that he's so powerful he doesn't need anyone to link him as he can do it himself.

i agree that i thought parts 4 and 5 had decent storylines, im not a fan of freddy's dead the final nightmare though. idk its just the cheesiness.. like i understand that after part 2 freddy became cheesy and comical but i loved dream warriors and dream master and thought dream child was good too but part 6 just sucked on all levels.
