What I want to know is if she died, then how did Freddy end up on Elm Street? and what happened to her soul after she was freed? it seemed Freddy was attacking her but the movie ended. So she's not free anymore??

I'm not sure Amanda was even real. She could have been just a part of the dream Freddy created to bring him back.

What makes you say that? Didn't she come back to "life" after Freddy already came back? I thought he used Jacob to come back.

I'm not totally sure she wasn't real, I think MAYBE she might not have been, she might have been just an illusion Freddy created to make an entrance, or to relive his birth.
Just like in part 4, I don't think it was REALLY Kincaide's dog who peed fire on where Freddy was buried.
It's just all part of the dream Freddy creates.
