This and home alone 1 are my 2 must watch christmas movies ever year

While all the bashers say over rated boring yadda yadda...
i grew up when this movie came out as with home alone and seen both in the theaters.

While your all hooked on the cgi special effects and 2010 actors of today this was the best when it came out.

Im not the biggest fan of chevy chase but this movie was one of the movies that made me laugh so hard i thought i was going to die movies.

Again if you don't have the sense of humour then you wont get it..

This is a movie like the holy grail where if you don't get it you wont think its funny. Having a squirel jump out of a christmas tree and go for the juggular was one of the greatest moments ever.

Those who bash it go back to watching breaking bad and other tv show sitcoms..

This is a gem and will always be a 10/10 for me as with home alone

There's another great American Christmas comedy you should check out called "A Christmas Story" (1983)

Christmas Story was ok but it's not one of my favs. I'm in the minority for that I'm sure but it wasn't that funny to me and I like comedy.

in the beginning was an actor from the "married with children" episode where al bundy hooked up with a happy guy and got fed, and "married with children" used footage from the first vacation movie in each opening. as this starts out animated, i wonder if first time you watch this think it'll be that kind of movie, boy does the opening with the road look bleak right after that, a lot of over the top in the beginning, the car bit, him coming out of the garage wearing a horror movie mask with a chainsaw, funny i never noticed the modern neighbour snobs have no christmas decoration at all. it's hard to pick a favorite scene because there are so many great parts, but one highlight is clark at the store and encounters mary, i've started to appreciate and notice chase's physical humour more after learning he was inspired by jerry lewis. this should air every christmas, i've been annoyed some years when it haven't aired over here (sweden).

MY DAUGHTER AND I WATCH IT TOGETHER EVERY CHRISTMAS EVE AND CHRISTMAS STORY TOGETHER ON CHRISTMAS DAY...THE ONE I WATCH EVERY YEAR WHILE WRAPPING IS THE REF....THE REF IS VERY UNDERRATED AND AWESOME.

i agree with home alone 1 but not 2. home alone 2 is weak sauce sequel.
