When Ileen tells Christy that Shes going to marry that guy......what does christy say that everyone in the restaurant is soo shocked about? it goes on for about 30 seconds, then he says "i'm glad you taught me how to speak so I could say that"

It looked REALLY offensive and crass judging from everyones reactions but couldnt understand it! even after watching it again!

I think it was more in the tone of his voice; he was being loud and obviously aggitated in a very reserved setting.

He said "congratulations...." drawing out every syllable very slowly. I think it was just the way he played his disability up in front of everyone - intentionally being obnoxious.
