Remake?
If there was a remake, I would cast Ben Stiller. He is a good actor, and he looks like Daniel Day Lewis.

EVEN if someone in the film industry was stupid enough to try and remake this terrific film, and EVEN if they were stupid enough to cast Ben Stiller as Christy because of his (apparent) resemblance to Daniel Day-Lewis, Stiller doesn't even come CLOSE to Day-Lewis in terms of acting talent. Nobody else could pull off the amazing performance that Day-Lewis gave.
My uncle once told me that the American version of the French film Les Diaboliques was a great how-to in regards to how-to butcher a classic movie. Any remake of My Left Foot would fall into the same category.
