A film About Family

I dident just feel uplifted by the story of Christy Brown being a cerebral palsy victim, but by the unity (although somewhat fractured by the father sometimes) of the family. It almost brought tears to my eyes by the fact that they were living in poverty and were so close, something of which a part of me can relate to.

I love how there wasn't any sibling rivalry. In every other cinematic situation, one of the siblings would start resenting his "retarded brother" and play a mean trick on him, but NOT IN THAT HOUSE! The overwhelming support all around even melted the ice in the cockles of my cynical heart. *sigh*
