did he stay in character when the filming stoped?

i know a lot of intense actors stay in character during the entire movie schedule even when the cameras are off to keep it real. did daniel day lewis switch between himself and his character when the cameras were turned off? cuz staying in character mustve been a really overwhelming experience but switching from daniel day- to character mustve been weird to see on set as well as tiring as an actor.
either way what he does is just out of this world

Yes. Daniel Day Lewis in particular is renowned for doing this.

I think that IMDB should charged posters one dollar for every posted questions that have already been answered on the Front Page of the movie, in any of the sub categories like "Trivia"

They were saying on TCM that he would stay in character all the time he was on set but that he did not describe himself as a method actor.
