I find it hard to believe that they never met before that night at the bar. I mean did she ever attend one of the home games? Did they never have a team party near the end of the season that would have included spouses and family?

Even if Dorn's wife didn't attend games or team functions all season it's reasonable to assume Roger would want her to come to the one-game playoff against the Yankees. It probably would have been the sports event in North America that night. That game would have transcended from a game to an "event."

It's not that unbelievable. I have a number of coworkers whose spouses I have never met, and they've never met mine.
As someone already stated, I don't know all my co-workers wives and even some of the ones I've met I wouldn't recognize out in public. I almost didn't recognize her either though when she first walked up. She went from homely housewife to hot a$$ vixen in about 60 secs flat.
