These days, “Kiss the Girl” would be considered....

....too aggressive, and would trigger a lawsuit from Ariel. I’m surprised that they haven’t updated Sebastian’s lyrics to: “Go on and....get it in writing that you’re 100% cleared to....Kiss the Girl”.

Sha la la la.....

The problem is that men with power have always and will always confuse power with sex appeal.

I’ve spoken with many female friends who freely admit they find power and wealth to be attractive and even sexy. (And I don’t judge them on feeling that way).

Frankly, I think both genders leverage their assets to get what they want. A woman I used to date said her attractiveness (and the occasional low-cut blouse) have been huge advantages to her in her sales role. I totally get that that...totally agree...and I don’t judge either way.

For women, a lot of power comes from beauty. For men, they realize *their* power and attraction to women is more about their wealth and success.

Right or wrong....is moot. It’s just the way it is. Either way, I’m not sure how any of this is germane to my original point, which was a tongue-in-cheek comment about political correctness and social dynamics in 2021.

I was referring to sexual harassment and unwanted advances aka The Me Too movement.

Where did it move to?

Ouch.

They actually did end up changing the lyrics to many of the songs. LoL.

Like the opening in Alladin.

I never had a negative reaction from any woman when I decided I wanted to kiss her, without asking permission. I suppose I just had a good sense of when the time was right, and I was involved with rational women. I'm not even wealthy or very good looking, and they were all more attractive than me.

You do realize that in that scene Ariel was attempting to kiss Eric multiple times, right? Eric kept turning her down because he was still looking for his dream girl. The lyrics were conveying the message that she wants him, and he’s going to miss out if he doesn’t take the opportunity with her. The #MeToo movement screaming “sexual harassment” needs to get over themselves - rewriting the lyrics to suit their agenda is asinine and the Disney fans eating this up are beyond stupid and mentally competent.
