The contract

Ok so King Triton is allowed by Ursula to put his name instead of Arial's on the contract, thus saving her from its binding agreement.
Doesn't that mean that Ursula now has to give Triton a pair of legs, take his voice and give him 3 days to fall in love with and kiss Prince Eric before she can claim him and turn him into one of those seaweed things?

reply

No it mean Triton is a polyup instead of Ariel Her plan all along for she knew Triton would surrender and if not a mermaid princess of the sea king would be quite fitting

Yes I know her plan was to get Triton instead of Ariel, but having him place his name under the same contract instead of Ariel's doesn't make any sense as a way of taking ownership of him instead of her. She should have drafted up an all new one describing that kind of transfer. If you freeze the frame when Ariel signs it, it reads
"I hereby grant onto Ursula, witch of the sea, one voice in exchange for ..."

I know I'm just nitpicking here btw :) I love this movie.

So part iof your question is weird that but tit is a good question? Expect for you couldn't see that as in a whole history of Disney animated movies, there haven't been either an gay couple, or an openly gay character as of yet. But shouldn't he have to find a woman to fall in love with. And how is King Trition supposed to know what Eric looks like?
