I know that the movie is based on the Hans Christian Andersen story but I always thought it was funny that it's called The Little Mermaid and Ariel in the movie definitely not little. I mean when I hear little I think of a child, and she was teenager. :)

That is a kind of cheesy title seeing as how Ariel is a teenager.
