Was Killifer in Sanchez's pocket from square one?

Re-watched this yesterday for the first time in awhile. Upon coming to the interrogation room scene with Sanchez and the two feds (one being Killifer and the other being the Grand L. Bush character), did anybody get the impression that Killifer was already in on the plan to help Sanchez escape and that his angry reaction to hearing Sanchez mentioning his 2 million dollar bribe was just an act so that his fellow cops/feds would not suspect anything?

This story is a work of fiction. Your guess is as good as mine, since nothing was suggested either way

I have wondered about thia also. Killifer"s expressions make me think ot was a spur of the moment deal. However, I don't see how there was time to arrange the escape.

reply

More than likely, I thought it was obvious from the beginning that Killifer was crooked.

Why are you not watching football now?

I don’t like football or sports in general.

I think the scene is meant to suggest Killifer was indeed won over by Sanchez's offer. I can't think of any reason Sanchez would want to pretend to offer a bribe to an already bought man in front of others. That'd just make Killifer look even more suspicious in the aftermath of Sanchez's escape.
