Bond gets a (fairly understandable beating) from the ninja pair, after interrupting their plans for Sanchez. He's taken prisoner by them, but they are attacked by Sanchez's men and half the ceiling falls on top of him during the assault. Frankly he looks a bloody mess.

But after being put to bed at Sanchez's place, he wakes up the next morning as good as new, with not a bruise to be seen.

Oh for those powers of recuperation!🐭

I thought it was pretty clear that the ceiling fell on the guy, who in turn fell on Bond. It's obvious when Sanchez's men arrive, Bond is rubble free.

I think you've provided the explanation for which we understand he wasn't killed, but the fact is you see close-ups of him and he looks like Rocky after he's gone a couple of rounds with Apollo Creed. Then the next morning he's as fresh as a daisy.🐭
