I thought Kenisha was Vanessa from The Cosby Show but it turns out she isn't. Am I the only one?

Actually, you're not far off. She played the character Charmaine (a friend of 'Cousin Pam') in the later years of that show.
"He beat Joe Louis' ass"

I honestly thought it was her too and I had to look her up. Wow, I'm glad I'm not the only one.

Also the guy that played Kenisha's boyfirend in the movie was also on "The Cosby Show" and played Cousin Pam's boyfriend who was friends with Charmine.

There's a slight resmemblance. But, the actress that played Kanisha had a much higher voice. No, is definately not her.

I know that she wasn't Tempest, but the two actresses do somewhat resemble each other.
