Cobra Kai never dies.

reply

And this isn't IMDb. It's fun to occasionally make an observation about this movie, but why keep it trending? Shouldn't we have moved on by now?

You just dropped a challenge.

You better get on the mat right now otherwise you and I will have a problem!

reply

It'll be open season on him... and Alan.

reply

It's open season on Alan.

Someone should go to his karate dojo and slide a blueberry pie under his chair so that he sits in it!

Can you imagine the reaction of his students??

Wears Alan in his gi with a huge pie stain on his bum!

The crowd of spectators would be laughing at him and he'd be spinning in circles chasing his own bum (like a dog chasing his tail) saying "Hey come'on this is not funny! Come'on guys this is getting out of hand here!"

reply

Kai members should make a pilgrimage to WearsAlan’s dojo in Durham to reprimand him for all the damage he’s caused. It would be interesting to see how his skills hold up.

reply

You guys are welcome anytime

reply

Too much advantage... your dojo.

reply

Was your suggestion not mine. I simply said you would be welcome to come and visit my dojo

reply

I never suggested a fight there.

I just suggested bringing a pie to your dojo and sliding it under your chair (right before you sit down).

reply

Neither did I. I simply said you are welcome to visit my dojo. Not sure why that is in some way an advantage when I’m simply extending an invitation for you guys to visit after you said someone should.

reply

If I go, would you teach me anything that can do some REAL DAMAGE?!

reply

Break some ribs? Nose? Knock somebody out?
Sure. I turn wimps in to winners

reply

Do you use a wooden dummy like Mr. Silver?

And I assume then you are a strong adherent to the Quicksilver method?

We may make a Kai of you yet!

reply

No. Dummies don’t hit back. QuickSilver is a movie thing and does not exist in real life, so no.

reply

We use these in Kung Fu

And you ADMITTED Quicksilver works. Break some ribs... that's a man can't breathe. Break a nose.. that's a man can't see. Knock someone out? That's a man can't stand.

reply

WE use these in Kung fu? Didn’t know YOU did king fu.
As for quicksilver working I was breaking ribs and knocking people out years before quicksilver was ever mentioned. Either way, those aren’t techniques suitable for tournaments. But they are definitely good for self defence. Never denied that.

reply

Either way, those aren’t techniques suitable for tournaments.

This kind of hypocrisy is mind blowing. After defending Daniel’s illegal kata routine for years, you’re now suggesting Quicksilver be outlawed in competition. There is a serious lack of clarity in your karate philosophy. The Kai should open a dojo across the street from you and poach your students.

reply

No Hypocrisy at all. Not suggesting they should be outlawed either. They already are. If your intent is to simply hurt your opponent in a competition, then these techniques are ideal. If your intention is to hurt a would be attacker in the street the techniques are ideal. If your intention is to simply hurt a person for no other reason than you want to hurt them then these techniques are ideal. If your intention is to use these techniques to win a competition then they will only result in you being disqualified. No point deduction etc...straightforward disqualification. Hope this clears it up for you.
Oh, and you are still welcome to visit anytime.

reply

Too bad you didn't meet me at Harrods so I could show you how much Kung Fu I possess.

You have done a 180 from your old position when you used to say that Quicksilver doesn't work.

Glad to see you now concede I'm right by saying that QuickSilver does work for self-defense... and for making people experience PAIN!

reply

Do you still only read the parts you want to ?
I always said it worked the street. Check the old posts.
Here’s another one...I teach more like cobra Kai than Miyagi. Said that years ago

reply

If your intention is to use these techniques to win a competition then they will only result in you being disqualified.

This line of thinking has long been debunked. A wise man once pointed out: “He ran into your fist. It’s not your fault. Well, he can’t continue. That means you win!”

Quicksilver is a universal set of principals that has guided young martial artists for 30 years now. If you’re not willing to share it with your students out of some kind of misplaced loyalty to Miyaniel, then perhaps you should not be an instructor at all.

reply

I love how in one post you say that Quicksilver doesn't exist in real life and THEN you say it DOES work in a street fight.

I'm tired of all these fake ass black-belts from McDojos (get your black belt in one year of your money back!) who can do decently in contrived tournaments but are literally powerless weaklings in a real street fight.

Quicksilver works in REAL LIFE... your brand of Miyagay-Don't Karate shuns Quicksilver and only works in fake hypothetical tournament scenarios.

I study Kung Fu and we don't have belts.. we learn how to FIGHT in real life.

reply

Perhaps I should have been clearer seeing as you are an idiot . The principles proposed as quicksilver in the karate kid 3 movie work better in the street than a competition. There is no such thing as quicksilver by actual name per say though just as there is no such thing as the crane kick by actual name outside of the movie. The real life crane kick is a jumping or flying mi-Geri. There you go an idiots guide just for you seeing as you are having trouble understanding

reply

Accident or not it is still disqualification. You may not like it, he’ll I don’t like it, but that’s the rules these days. Me not sharing this information would make me a bad instructor.

reply

At this point, WA, nothing you say is credible.

reply

So then the rules of competition aren’t credible. Despite the rules being global. Don’t blame me for the facts

reply

You're a pushy little bastard, aren't you? But I like that. I like that.
