I don't know where you can find it on video, but sometimes it is on Lifetime Movie Network and the TrueStories Channel.

It's coming on Lifetime tomorrow, actually.

if you're realy into it, fly to israel and buy it from channel 3 www.3tv.co.il. here we have the FULL version, 3 hours, not one and a half.

You might want to try e-mailing or writing Warner Home Video. Time Warner Inc. bought out Lorimar/Telepictures in 1989 and absorbed it into Warner Bros. Television (in fact, that deal was consummated just as this film originally aired on NBC in late May 1989), and since Warners now owns "I Know My First Name Is Steven," as well as the rest of Lorimar's TV shows and movies, they would be the most likely candidate to distribute it on VHS and/or DVD.
I certainly hope Warner Home Video DOES consider putting "I Know My First Name Is Steven" on DVD soon, since I taped the entire (3-hour) movie when Lifetime ran it on November 18, 1996, and I just about wore out the tape! So tell everyone else you know who liked this movie to contact Warners and if they get enough requests they'll get it on DVD soon enough (see Warner Bros.' website for Warner Home Video's e-mail address; you might also want to tell them that "I Know My First Name Is Steven" was NEVER even released on VHS!).

I think it was released on VHS, cause they show the video covers on this site http://www.corinnemec.com/i_know_my_first_name_is_steven.htm - and so I found the VHS on ebay.com http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=4348&item=6353368750&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW

I saw this film years ago in TV and it was a hard story but a good TV movie. I hope also that it'll be a version on DVD in Germany some day cause I forgot nearly the whole story :-(

What is mind? - Doesn't matter.
What is matter? - Never mind.

It WASN'T released commercially on VHS here in the United States.
In fact, I even CALLED Warner Home Video in California (a long distance call from where I live here in Michigan) and the operator acted as if she'd never even heard of the film!
If I ever find WHV's phone # again I will pass it along to you in a private letter on this website.
In the meantime, see my response to Donald's letter for WHV's e-mail and regular addresses. As I said before, if WHV gets enough requests for "Steven," the faster they'll put it on DVD!
