Calhoun's bet on Kirkpatrick

Calhoun put down $500,000 after hearing that Sugar's guys put $200,000 on Kirkpatrick. My question is how would it benefit Calhoun to put 500k on the result of the fight if he owned all the betting houses? He'd pretty much be winning from himself.

Agree. Plot hole. I caught that too. At 3:1 odds who is paying out the other $400K to Sugar Rays? Calhoun. They are already stealing his money legally.

Well we really don't know where he put his money down at. It would be foolish and counterproductive, to place the money down at his gaming houses. So say he owns many of the gaming houses in the NYC area, he most likely put his bet down in New Jersey.

Just a thought...
