just curious was this bird saying - " I can't believe it ! " or something else ? 

This bird was a riot anyway   !

Sadly, the bird's words were not scripted, subtitled or intelligible to hear. Honestly most of the time I heard "Alert Alert" or "Alec Alec". It was funny, though.

Yes dave626 I actually heard Tookie say " Alec Alec " as the second thing he said also but the first thing it sounded like he said quickly was - " I can't believe it ! " . 

I just re-watched the scene a few times, an I think you are correct ms-zanadu. It really sounds like Tookie is saying "I can't believe it", which fits with the scene, because Michael survived being shot 20+ times, fell down a mineshaft, and they dropped a grenade on his crazy butt!

Of course, I could believe it,because you can't kill him. Like Jamie said, "He'll never die."

Also like in Halloween 2 Laurie Strode said " Why won't he die ? "   .

Tookie the bird was a riot that was one of my favorite scenes in this film   .
