WHO was the 'Man in Black'?
Who in the heck was the dude with the long coat, pointy boots, who resembled Johnny Cash? I couldn't wrap my brain around that. He busted Michael out of jail?

shareTake Ite's advice (doesn't want to ruin it for you).
shareIt was Dr. Wynn. The doctor in charge at Smith's Grove. He is the one that "created" Michael and made him what he became. Part 6 is decent. I suggest you take a look. It will give more details on why he did it....
shareTHANKS! We watched about 9 hours of assorted Halloweens on AMC yesterday.... We had never seen number 5. I'll have to scout around for number 6. Thanks again.
share"He is the one that "created" Michael and made him what he became."
How exactly does this make any sense when Michael's killing of his sister preceded his admittance to Smith's Grove?
"Apparently, we're not nutty bunnies after all. We're just college guys. Sorry 'bout that."
lol bcuz the occult explanation of michael meyers is complete hackneyed garbage...BUT i will admit that i still watch as these are guilty pleasure sequels to me
share So true.
"Apparently, we're not nutty bunnies after all. We're just college guys. Sorry 'bout that."
The theatrical version of H6 is ridiculous because then it would suggest that Wynn had something to do with Myer's creation. But the real version of the film would otherwise say that he was put in control when he was over at that old woman's house. From there he was chosen by her and the cult and made to kill of his family members. I like when Tommy takes out the rune stones and casts the spell that freezes Michael in place.
shareI don't know if it was in the original script or someone on the message
board mentioning Conal Cochran (Halloween III: Season of the Witch)
being the Man in Black. It would've been kind of cool and would've
tied the series together. I know on the Halloween 5 dvd, Don Shanks
(Michael) mentions that it was going to be Michael's twin brother or
something and he also played him in some scenes.
Haha, agreed there!
shareIf you watch Halloween 6 its revealed he is Dr. Wynn one of loomis old collegues.
However when i first watched the film. i thought that the man in Black was a manifestation of Myers own rage.

In the dvd version the earlier did version when they United. Danielle Harris, Ellie Cornell... The show a deleted scene where instead of the hermit find By Michael a guy in rags finds him.. He's his twin! He unmasks Michael in front of the audience so we see his actual face.
He was supposedly the one who was dressed in black following him around but they deleted the scene thinking it would raise to many questions...
Was the old house supposed to be the Myers' house? It looked nothing like it.
shareYes. Given it was pretty trashed in 1978 for the first film and made worse by the mob in Halloween II, set on the same night. Jump to 1989 and it's bound to have been worse. Remodeled, much like the Amityville house was to detract from tourists, or help the town forget. In actuality, the original was filmed in Pasadena and by then moved and a dentist's office. 5 was filmed in Salt Lake City and they didn't have time or budget to build a replica/facade. Plus they needed a bigger house for the attic, basement and laundry chute sequence, which was the linchpin of the movie, like 4's rooftop scene. The original house wasn't big enough for all that. They found a sort of similar looking house for 6, but they had 6 years to do it, 5 had less than a year between it and 4.
