Did Michael take pity on Dr Loomis?

It seemed that Dr. Loomis was seldom stalked by Michael and when Michael DID see Dr. Loomis he didn't chase after him like he did with the other characters in the movie.

I always thought it was because he knew that Dr. Loomis was in some fashion trying to save himself and therefore, Michael didn't outright try and attack the Dr. Loomis fictional character in the movie.

Did anyone else notice this? Dr. Loomis was always able to avoid being attacked by Michael even when Michael could've easily attacked Dr. Loomis in the movie.

Laurie & Dr. Loomis were my favorite characters and the org. Halloween from 1978 is my favorite.  It's the scariest!

Loomis spent many years with Michael, so yes, I do think there was a repressed tiny little bit of the person Michael used to be BEFORE the evil took over that still responded to Loomis. This same thing happens between Jamie and Michael as well. Even Halloween II shows Michael hesitate for a moment when Laurie calls him by name. I think these hesitations are the original Michael that still dwells deep inside The Shape.

My two cents, anyhow.

I am not a fan. I just happen to enjoy movies. Fans are embarrassing.

I always wondered that too and I'm glad I wasn't the only one who thought that too.
