Meeker could've been written as a vengeful father
Who'd personally hunt down Michael at all cost even if he had to break the law like threaten to kill Jamie to get her to tell him where Michael is..

Meeker's level-headed direction was out of place although he briefly demonstrated some anger towards Loomis when he reminded Meeker that Michael killed his daughter, at the same time, her death didnt seem to affect him too deep.
shareNot like it did Brackett, for sure, but he maintained a professional attitude, he had his own operation/plan to get Myers, so I'd say he was involved and invested. He just wasn't as foolish as Loomis. Trying to talk to Michael, lure him into a trap? Not smart.
Hell, half the movie, until bodies showed up Meeker didn't believe Michael was back, so he didn't have time to have a meltdown. He was cleaning up the mess. So I don't think his lack of onscreen outbursts aside from the one is a true representation of his feelings.
