Did you notice ...

When the ghostbusters catch the Scoleri brothers and step outside the door to say "weΒ΄re back!", the female lawyer, played by Janet Margolin, is sitting on the very left side of the picture, leaning against the wall and smoking a cigarette.

Was this intentional? Why does she do that, right after a ghost attack?

Good catch, hadn't noticed that in the film, though I did during the end credits. I'm not positive, but I actually think it might be a naughty joke, like something happened with her and the Scolaris we didn't want to see, lol.

I took it as smoking after being through something traumatic. When smokers are stressed, they smoke. But it could be the other thing mentioned above :p

wow, all the years i've watched this i didn't notice the nintendo symbols until now, amazing how you keep noticing new things, it's well over half an hour in before the ghostbusters are back in action, the incidents going on at the street of the opening of movie looks really theatrical almost as a spoof, the baby carriage heading on by itself down the street actually looks creepy, i'm so used to the voice of the newest member of the ghostbusters after hearing him star in twilight zone radio dramas episodes, i forgot and thought for a while the guy at the museum would take moranis part from the first movie as the guy being pushy at sigourney weaver, but then i noticed him return as well, but now together with the girl working as a secretary at the ghostbusters, it's funny how they need to have a guy bugging weaver, and moranis manages to get on her nerves at one point still here, her reaction in the bathroom with the slime coming out of the drain is like something right out of a classic b&w horror flick. the lady's fur coat coming alive was more distressing and uncomfortable than scary or funny, cheech sure had a small but fun part, some critics gives this exactly as high rating as the first, i figure that just might mean this is better since critics are often so reluctant to give a sequel a fair score. i'm not all in nerdy on these and i sort of confuse these 1980's ghostbusters flicks with each other, some of my favorite parts include the ghostbusters asking a guy if he wants to join the elevator and the way he replies "i'll take the next", and as they run to get murray as he's around people having dinner "guys, you're scaring the straights" also the reaction from bill murray's brother after they've been arrested.

when i wake up in the morning,
to another world i roll over,
above the floor im floatin,
as you switch the mattress,
to a flyin carpet,
at you i lay my head down,
drift off at sunshine,
from northern lights to sahara nights.

WOW

Never thought that much about that. I always had just figured she was in shock over what had happened.

But now I'm looking it as an adult and from a different angle.

The way her clothes and hair are disheveled and the smirk on her face suggest that maybe her super natural encounter was more pleasurable than she expected. A stark contrast from the cold, humorless, and frigid DA we were watching earlier.

Also consider that she was flown out of the courtroom, she was upside down, vertically, with the ghost flying above her holding her by her leg. Not only do we see that she's wearing thigh highs and a garter belt, but the Scoleri brother would have a nice view if he looked down.
