Throwing up scene
Beat me, but that embarrassing scene where Don Johnson pukes on a suspect didn´t look like a special-effects-scene to me.... I´m scared, actually.

I am annoyed about the saturation of barfing in movies and on tv but this scene is one where it isn't just throwaway grossness for the sake of grossness. A drunk with a bad hangover who engages in a foot chase is not gonna do too well, ya know? It expresses pretty clearly how close this guy is to the bottom.
shareI saw this better-than-average film on a premium channel. They must have taken the critism to heart, because they have deleted the actual vomiting.
This is the best acting I've witnessed by D.J.
If you are scared of barf scenes, Stay away from "Team America: World Police". The barf scene in "Dead Bang" is a runny nose compared to that one.
shareI've got an awful feeling he did it for real as well....
It didn't look to me like he kind of hid the puke mixture in his chheks and then spat it out on the guy.

Funniest thing I had seen on screen in years...I think it was the dramamtic John Williams-like epic score, like a symphonic tidal wave cresting with each puke wave coming from the puppet's quivering, shaking, gut spasming little body.
See, this scene is why film was invented.
Hhhwaaaaaaaaaaaaaa....(DAN DAN DAHHHHHNN!)
Hhuuuuuuuuuuuugghhhhhaaaaaaaaahhhhh....(DUN DUN DAHN DAHN DAN!)
Hwuuuggggghhhoooogggggguggggghhhhhhhhhgggllaaaaaaaaaaaaa....(BUM BUM BAHMMMMMM!)
Crane shot: pull away, puppet in sea of vomit...
Genius...
There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
You are a patron of the arts... My hat is off to you.....
shareThis scene may be somewhat unpolished in it's delivery but it doesn't exactly fall into "Two girls one cup" territory. I think that it simply illustrated the unfortunate reality of the character's situation. Some might even argue that If Don did actually lend his own vomit to the scene then he was going beyond the call of duty as an artist. Nothing wrong with method acting right?
shareIt was great because it was funny and sad at the same time. I like that this movie does not make alcoholism look cool, but reveals it as the depressing puke-a-rama it really is.
shareI wish there were a commentary for this movie just so we could find out if that was real puke or staged. My feeling was that it was real. I'd also like to know how Don made himself do it. If it wasn't real, Don Johnson should win an Academy Award for "Best simulated upchuck performance" of all time.
"Flying thru hyperspace ain't like dusting crops boy!"
I thought that was funny. All these years later after seeing it upon release, that still makes me laugh to think about.
