Nyman inspired by Vivaldi..?

I have watched this movie 3 nights ago.
First of all, i have to say i ADORED all of it. It is just my kinda thing.

I loved the music too, very much. The song "Memorial" was my favorite and i figured out why. Because it sounds very much like my favorite classical music piece: Vivaldi - Four Seasons / Winter.

Memorial is like a version or a cover of Vivaldi's "Winter". I was SURE of it during the movie actually. Then i have done some online research and i could find anything at all mentioning this.

Anybody who knows more about this? Please enlighten me. Thanks.

Agree with you. Saw it yesterday and the first music that came to my head listening to Nyman's score was Vivaldi's Winter.

Almost certainly. Also known as "What power art thou?" from and opera by Henry Purcell called "King Arthur". (If you have spotify, see what you think: http://open.spotify.com/track/4K0Pry13YVSjN1raGDoHlE).
