I've heard it rumoured here and elsewhere on the net that Criterion is finally releasing this film some time in the not-too-distant future.
Does anyone have any definite information on this? I really don't want to get my hopes up without confirmation that this is true.

That's unfortunate. I hope they work something out, because Greenaway definitely deserves to be honored by Criterion. If they were going to release any of his films, it ought to be this one. The film not only represents Greenaway at his best, but Greenaway working best with his collaborators.

shareIt looks like that's not happening, but if it did, Criterion would likely dig up some archival materials, one of which would hopefully be a full recording of that song, "Something Sometime Soon". Dammit I want that song so bad it hurts.

As a blu-ray ALONE this film would look incredible!! But I'd love to see Crit give it their treatment. So far the only Crits I have on BR are Che (EXCELLENT edition) & The Thin Red Line. Money's a bit tight these days...
