could be a GREAT Remake
This is one film i would love to see remade today seeing how i feel it is under rated as a movie. The only thing i would change was the pain in the azz kid in the film besides that the movie was perfect.
Maybe made Nick more messed up from what has happended to him Sort of like John Rambo Style.
Christan Bale as Nick Parker would be perfect for this part in todays world.
