The most underrated movie I have ever seen

Ok, I gonna get flamed for this but I don't care. I remember watching this as a kid and loving every second of it. I wanted a sword cane so bad, but everyone I saw was those dagger canes that everyone claims is a sword. Made me so angry. I actually forgot that this movie existed until I was chillen on imdb today, absolutely love it. Ok, flame away

Is there a chemical in X that makes you dance like a prick?

I'm not going to flame you, man. I think this film is excellent. Rutger Hauer is terrifically funny and engaging in the lead, the bad guys are amusingly slimy, the action scenes seriously smoke, and there's even a welcome and touching additional human element amidst all the carnage concerning friendship and forgiveness. This is the rare action film with both humor and a heart to go along with all the thrills. I'm a major fan of this flick and agree with you that it's underrated.

I write bios, therefore I am.

Flamed?

No way! This was a great movie! My friend had a uni tutor who met Hauer while he was on location filming; they got talking about Blind Fury and how he had a lot of fun with it. Growing up and looking back on it, I see the faults and how it wasn't a huge success (it's very much 'of it's time' too), but it's one of those action films that's got a lot of heart. There's plenty of room for comic book characters and inventive set-pieces, but it also has time for some emotional depth like a road movie. Plus it's got some great one-liners.

It's a great film that should have had a bit more recognition after the re-ignited interest in Zatoichi a few years back.

Only one thing bugs me. Did Terry O'Quinn ever have any hair?!
