The film was decent, but the director could've done a way better job with leading this film. Rutger Hauer made this film incredible like all his other performances! He leaps so far into character, and does a fantastic job at it that it succeeds! Overall, I enjoyed the film and it was very entertaining, but it could've been better if the director lead it in a different direction in some areas.
shareI thought it was an all-around good movie, with some genuinely funny and heartfelt parts in it. I agree that RH made this film incredible, but in addition I liked the pacing of the movie and the way it inexorably worked its way to the climax. With some deliciously seedy characters thrown in the mix for good measure. I particularly liked the chemistry between RH and that bratty kid, and how RH eventually won him over.
