This movie reminds me of 'Kill Bill': The Sword/The Cowboys with guns chasing the lone Hero who was out of commission for a few years, The Gangster/mob boss, the list really goes on. And I love this movie for it!
Certainly an odd comparison. Blind Fury is far and away the better film, btw.

Check our the original zatoichi series that this was ripped off from...still this was an entertaining film, especially where he pats the croc on the head...and if it entertains then it aint that bad...

BLIND FURY and KILL BILL look good next to each other too. Orange, then yellow and red. They're perfect together.
I have got to get my mits on Zaotachi The Blind Swordsman and put it in front of my Martial Arts Collection which contains only two (white people using swords) movies. Them being BLIND FURY and the BILL'S. (i refuse to get the american ninja flicks). The rest of my Kung Fu movies are mostly Dragon Dynasy stuff.
These two movies are great together.
