You're right I just watched it on tape yesterday and I loved it, he kicks a** with that blade.

I remember the first time I saw this. I was 11 and stayed up to watch it because "The cool guy from the Guinness adverts is in it"! Love Rutger and this film. Still love the old Guinness ads too!

Rutger Hauer is absolutely terrific in this film as the laidback, yet lethal blind Vietnam veteran and expert swordsman Nick Parker; he brings both a humor and humanity to the part that's a true joy to behold.

I write bios, therefore I am.

I agree whole-heartedly. Rutger's top dog!

If you've got a multi-region DVD player Omega Doom and Blind Fury are on a double bill R1 DVD. OD's a pretty good film.

Yes, I reckon he was terrific in this film and yet ironically it appears that it was just about his last leading role in a theatrical release.(I can't think of another).

He really does have a wonderfully expressive face which is used to great advantage in this movie.

I get the window seat! You don't need it, you're blind!
