I just remembered how badass this movie is

Damn.

reply

Yeah. It took me forever to find this. I remember seeing this when I was really young, and the blind guy kills a fly with his sword or something like that. I always thought Dolph Lundgren was in this, that's why I couldn't find this. Anyway. I haven't see it for ages. But, I'm going to!

this is a geat action movie.

try

Wanted dead or alive.

excellent film AS GOOD if not better. trust me here!

reply

Dolph Lundgren? Nah--they had an ACTOR playing the lead in this. Hauer is one of the great underutilized talents in the biz.
Trivia: When Ann Rice wrote 'Interview with the Vampire', she envisioned Hauer as the model for Lestat. He was MUCH leaner then--charming & sinister.

reply

It was awesome that they gave a cameo to Sho Kusugi in this movie. Can't think of anyone better at the time to play as the Japanese assassin to rival the American Zatoichi.

reply

I also somehow instantly connect this movie with Dolph Lundgren, but it's Rutger Hauer! the ragged version of Dolph

reply

So you thought it was Dolph and I thought it was Lambert... We had the same trouble, essentially.

Rutger Hauer is one great actor IMHO. He also bares an extreme resemblance to my uncle... He matches him 100%

reply

Thats because the final fight scene in that room is very similar to the final fight scene in Punisher when he fighting the Yakuza or whatever.

reply

This movie only gets better with age.

Don't forget the rabies! Everything tastes better with rabies!

reply

This movie is a cult classic IMO.

reply

damn some necro posting going on here, did you just watch this on netflix like i did? my wife and I want to get a sword to to cut bugs with like the couple in the movie.

too bad they never did a sequel.

reply
