Billy removes his mouth gag while his hands are bound behind his back

Anyone notice that Billys gagged and his hands are tied behind his back when they are being held hostage in Winterhaven. During the fight between Nick and the japanese guy Billy slowly scoots himself down onto the floor his mouth still gagged and hands still clearly tied behind his back. But just after Nick kills the guy and Slag shoots Nick in the arm Billy without the gag screams "Uncle Nick!". This was either a due to a cut scene somewhere between him getting on the floor and calling out to Nick and subsequently having his hands in front of him allowing him to throw Nick the sword shortly after. Maybe he did the same escape trick Nick told him to do in the van but the scene was cut out.
