I first saw this movie when I was 10 and thought it was the greatest movie ever!
I'm now 26 and I still think it's one of the greatest.
I agree that the plot could have been better but visually speaking, it's a beautiful movie.

It is a movie that has "something" that made me love it... I suppose that was the combination of exotic places, great acting, very nice music ("I´ll Be Holding On" is, after 15 years, still my favourite song) and i don´t know what else, but i liked it very much.
I really like the mood of this movie and those Yakuza guys are just so badass, especially the main villain. Yeah that music is really good too.

I love the Japanese police uniforms, their white helmets, the black Browne belt that crossed their chests, the white belts of their motorcyle cops, and the absence of police badges on their uniforms. It made them look more professional then most American cops. Most American police departments no longer have the Browne belt; however, with all the gear the cops carried on their belts these days maybe they should re-introduced them so the weight of the gear is spread out more evenly. Unfortunately, it would give them a more military look that I would be afraid to walk up to them and ask a question. Even though the English cops are wearing vests, the design of their uniforms makes you feel that you can still walk up to them and talk to them. They also do not wear sunglasses unlike are cops. I also love the sound of the European police siren that the Japanese SWAT team bus had when it was roaring out of the station with the Japanese motorcycle cops out in front. Love that scene!!!
