Slow bikes?

The opening bike race scene. The two are racing each other with "fast" bikes, only when one lays his bike down, it seems to skid only about 50 feet and stop. You gotta really laugh.... good movie though.

In reality, micheal douglas's bike would have been trashed in a real race againts the newer model, faster yamaha(at the time anyway,lol)!!!

Actually the bike in the beginning was a Suzuki GSX1100F aka Katana painted to look like a GSX-R (you can tell it is not the GSX-R by the supports on the windscreen and the single headlight as well as the wheel rims) most of the bikes in the movie were Suzukis, other than Douglas' buke which was a Harley XLCR.

I was hoping someone would have registered the HD beating the Suzuki as a "goof".
