just saw basic instinct the other day which I did like but not as much as black rain but is it just me or is mikey the exact same guy in both movies? from attitude, to humour, to sarcasm, to even the same damn name! I dont mind at all because i think the character is real cool but man Basic Instinct might as well be Black Rain's sequel, even though considering both plots this wouldnt make any sense.

shareI don't think Curran ever took bribes. He was under investigation by IA for shooting some innocent tourists whilst doped on coke sometime after his wife died. But he managed to "beat the machine" and keep his job, but he required the regular psych evaluations: "Keep your three o'clock.... I said keep it!!"
