i love this movie, micky d at his coolest

For me michael douglas is never better than either the burnt out cop, sleezy husband who can't be faithfull or the arrogant rich man who has it all. He has portrayed all three with electric charisma and mix in a bit of 80s japan and this is the result of one of those personalities. This film is 80s at its most classic. The music is great, visualy its stunning and has good thrilling storyline. Thumbs up from me

Don't forget his equally bad ass big game hunter character in The Ghost And The Darkness and also his adventurer type role in Romancing The Stone

Anyone know any other Michael Douglas movies where he has a role similar to these?

I'd have to say this is his most bad ass role. The lines, persona and appearance of his character in Black Rain are all true to ideology of the gung ho cop with some exceptional lines to match...'I usually get kissed before I get *beep*
